The filter media features nine pleats per inch, enhancing its lifespan and efficiency in capturing damaging particles such as soot and carbon.
The design of the Wix air filter promotes a linear airflow path, resulting in low air restriction and improved engine efficiency. Special pocket pleats are utilized in the media, bonded with a specially formulated adhesive to enhance durability. The filter is framed with a urethane soft sealing gasket, ensuring a secure fit and optimal sealing against contaminants.
Constructed from cellulose material, the Wix air filter is designed for disposable use and is supported by a mesh screen when applicable. This combination of features ensures that even the smallest dust particles are effectively filtered out, reducing the risk of premature engine wear and extending the life of your engine components.
