This dual band system operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, utilizing a 600 MHz processor to ensure long-range connections to quality hotspots. With MIMO technology, the extender can transmit and receive data packets simultaneously, enhancing speed and reliability for users on board.
The EC HP DB features a weatherproof enclosure, making it suitable for marine environments. It includes two external omni-directional antennas and two internal antennas, along with 25-foot LMR cables for optimal placement. The system supports various encryption protocols, including WEP, WPA, and WPA2, ensuring secure connections.
Additionally, the extender functions as an ethernet converter, allowing direct connections to WAN ethernet-enabled devices, routers, or switches. The user-friendly web-based interface requires no software installation and provides real-time diagnostics of hotspot quality and signal strength, making it easy to manage connectivity on the vessel.
