The Vetus Magnus Heavy Duty Deck Hatch is engineered for robust performance in marine applications. With an overall size of 22 inches by 16.25 inches and a cutout dimension of 19.9 inches by 14.8 inches, this hatch is designed to fit standard market dimensions while providing optimal functionality. The satin sheen anodized aluminum frame ensures durability and resistance to corrosion, making it suitable for ocean use in design category A, Area I.
The hatch features a 10 mm thick dark smoke colored acrylic lens that allows for natural light while maintaining privacy and reducing glare. It can be held open at any angle up to 90 degrees, providing flexibility in ventilation and access. The design allows for operation from both inside and outside, with a full 180-degree opening that minimizes obstructions, enhancing usability.
Additionally, the Vetus Magnus hatch includes a ventilation position and can be locked completely watertight, ensuring safety and security in various weather conditions. This hatch is particularly suitable for habitable multihulls, serving as a means of escape in compliance with European legislation.
