With an overall size of 20.1 inches by 14.9 inches and a cutout dimension of 18 inches by 12.8 inches, this hatch is designed to fit standard market dimensions. The satin sheen anodized aluminum frame provides enhanced durability and resistance to corrosion, making it suitable for ocean use in design category A, Area I.
The hatch features a 10 mm thick dark smoke colored acrylic lens that allows for optimal light transmission while maintaining privacy. It can be held open at any angle up to 90 degrees, providing flexibility for ventilation and access. The design allows for operation from both inside and outside, with a full opening capability of 180 degrees, ensuring minimal obstruction.
Additionally, the Vetus Magnus hatch includes a ventilation position and can be locked completely watertight, making it a reliable choice for various marine environments.
