The TeraFlex Heavy Duty Tie Rod and Drag Link Kit is specifically designed to withstand extreme conditions that often lead to the failure of factory steering components. Constructed from a 1.6 Inch O.D. 4140 heat treated chromoly material, this tie rod is over 200 percent stronger than the original factory tie rod, ensuring enhanced performance and reliability. The forged tie rod end housing is tailored for JK models, providing the necessary clearance for factory 17 Inch wheels while maintaining optimal functionality.
This kit features an adjustable preload tension in the tie rod end joint, which is built with a 4140 chrome moly ball/stud and a 1045 carbon steel housing. This design not only promotes long-term durability but also allows for a total of 14 degrees of movement, minimizing tie rod roll while maximizing turning capabilities. The drag link is fully forged to prevent excess movement during aggressive steering maneuvers, and it includes a factory-style adjusting collar and pinch clamp for straightforward adjustments.
Additionally, the drag link is configured in a 'flipped' orientation, allowing for installation from the top of the steering knuckle.
