TeraFlex Heavy Duty Ball Joints are specifically designed to accommodate the increased loads associated with oversized tires and offset wheels. These ball joints are compatible with all JL Wrangler/Unlimited and JT Gladiator models featuring Dana 30 or Dana 44 front axles, ensuring a robust solution for demanding off-road applications. The dual helical grease grooves machined into the ball stud facilitate efficient grease expulsion through a low profile seal, enhancing maintenance and longevity.
Constructed with heat treated 4140 chromoly ball studs and a heat treated 1045 carbon steel housing, these ball joints offer superior strength and durability. The magnesium phosphate coating provides corrosion resistance while reducing friction, contributing to the overall performance of the assembly. Additionally, the hard alloy tool steel slotted wear plate protects against wear between the ball stud and socket, ensuring reliable operation under extreme conditions.
The design includes a low profile single lip dust seal that effectively prevents contaminants from entering, outperforming conventional dust boots. A heavy duty snap ring on the upper ball joint further secures the joint, preventing separation from the axle during intense off-roading. This set of four ball joints is a non-rebuildable solution, emphasizing reliability and ease of installation.
