TeraFlex Heavy Duty Ball Joints are engineered to replace factory ball joints that may not withstand the rigors of off-road driving or larger tire applications. Constructed from 4140 chrome moly steel, these ball joints offer high hardenability and are heat treated for superior fatigue and abrasion resistance. The design eliminates weak plastic components, utilizing sintered metal bearings in the upper joint to effectively manage rotational loads, while the lower joint features a threaded metal cup for precise pre-load adjustment.
The lower ball joint is equipped with a high carbon tool steel plate spring, enhancing wear resistance under vehicle weight. An oversized flanged nut ensures a robust bearing surface against the outer knuckle, contributing to overall stability and performance. Both ball joints are fitted with grease fittings for easy maintenance, with the lower joint featuring a specially designed flush needle zerk that allows for u-joint clearance, facilitating straightforward servicing. This set includes one upper and one lower ball joint, specifically designed for DANA 30 and DANA 44 axles.
