The Standard Horizon VHF Radio Eclipse Series is a Class D fixed mount VHF radio designed for use in United States, Canadian, and international waters. This radio features a built-in 66 channel WAAS GPS receiver, ensuring accurate positioning and time display on its oversized full dot matrix LCD. The device operates at a power output of 25 watts, providing reliable communication capabilities while also offering a low power option of 1 watt for extended battery life.
Equipped with a separate Channel 70 receiver, the Eclipse Series allows for the reception of Digital Selective Calling (DSC) calls even while monitoring other communications. The DSC distress function transmits critical information including vessel identification and GPS coordinates, enhancing safety on the water. The intuitive E2O Easy to Operate menu system simplifies access to various functions, making it user-friendly for everyday boat operators.
Additional features include NOAA weather channel selection with alerts, programmable scan, priority scan, and dual watch capabilities. The radio is designed with a compact chassis and is submersible with an IPX8 waterproof rating, ensuring durability in marine environments. The controls are conveniently located on the microphone, allowing for easy operation while navigating.
