The system operates within a voltage range of 9 to 16 volts DC and features an 8-1/2 inch stroke length. It is built to withstand harsh marine environments, boasting an IPX6 and IPX7 water ingress protection rating, and is certified to ABYC P-17 standards.

In addition to its ease of use, the SeaStar Power Assist Steering Cylinder includes a built-in fail-safe system that automatically reverts to mechanical steering in the event of a system failure, ensuring safety and reliability on the water.
