The ScanStrut Junction Box is designed for creating reliable waterproof connections for multiple electrical cables. With dimensions of 3.35 inches in width and depth, and a height of 2 inches, this junction box is compact yet functional, making it suitable for various installations including lockers, lazarettes, and tender bays. It features five screw-down terminals that accommodate 16 gauge wire, ensuring a secure and stable connection for electrical systems operating up to 400 volts and 32 amperes.
Constructed from marine-grade polypropylene, the junction box is built to withstand harsh environments while maintaining its integrity. The terminal blocks can be individually fitted or connected together based on the number of terminations required, providing flexibility in installation. The cables are easily pushed into the terminals and secured with a sprung leaf retention system that prevents damage to the wire, enhancing the longevity of the connections.
Included with the junction box are self-tapping screws and an installation bracket, facilitating quick and easy installation and removal for inspection. The terminal can be removed for straightforward cable fitting, and it securely clips into the base of the box, ensuring a robust assembly. This junction box is rated IP66 for waterproof protection, making it an excellent choice for outdoor and marine applications.
