Equipped with Class D Digital Selective Calling, the Raymarine VHF Radio simplifies emergency communication by allowing users to input their vessel's MMSI number during setup. The integrated GPS capability further enhances its functionality, although an optional GA150 passive GPS antenna is required for full GPS operation. The device supports NMEA2000 and NMEA0183 networking, making it versatile for various marine applications.
The radio is designed to withstand harsh marine environments, boasting an IPX6 and IPX7 waterproof rating. It includes a built-in loudhailer and fog signal generator, adding to its utility. The black box design allows for multi-station capability, and it can be expanded to accommodate up to two handsets, making it suitable for larger vessels.
