The Rancho RS5000X shock absorber features a patented rebound valving system that significantly improves vehicle handling both on and off-road. The enlarged 2-1/4 inch twin tube body increases fluid capacity, which helps maintain optimal operating temperatures and enhances performance across different terrains.
Gas pressurization minimizes the risk of air-to-oil mixture, reducing foaming and shock fade, while providing a slight boost in spring rate. The 16 millimeter nitro-carburized rod enhances durability by offering increased scuffing resistance and protection against corrosion. Additionally, the full-displaced 35 millimeter bore and 1-3/8 inch diameter sintered iron piston contribute to improved shock motion control and structural integrity.
