The Rancho RS9000XL is a nitrogen gas charged shock absorber designed for both on-road and off-road applications. This innovative product features a nine-position manually adjustable damping system, allowing users to customize ride firmness based on their specific driving conditions. The adjustable valving enhances ride characteristics, effectively counteracting the additional unsprung mass from larger tire and wheel combinations, making it suitable for stock or lifted trucks, SUVs, and Jeeps that tow or haul.
Constructed with a nitro-carburized piston rod, the RS9000XL resists scuffs and corrosion, ensuring durability and longevity. The double-welded loops at stress areas and sintered iron piston contribute to its structural integrity. Additionally, the polyurethane rebound bumper and bushings, along with a graphite-filled Fluon-banded piston, work together to absorb ride harshness and improve responsiveness to changing road conditions, resulting in a smoother ride.
The low-friction, self-lubricating seal retains gas and oil, promoting quicker rebound and smoother compression. Pressurized to 100 PSI, the nitrogen gas minimizes air-to-oil mixture, reducing damping performance fade and foaming.
