The Progressive Industries Surge Protector is designed to safeguard RVs from damaging low and high voltage levels as well as power surges when connected to an AC power supply. This hardwired unit operates at 50 amps and features automatic disconnection when voltage falls below 104 volts or rises above 132 volts, ensuring that your RV's electrical system remains protected. Once the voltage stabilizes, the device automatically reconnects, providing continuous monitoring of power conditions.
Equipped with a fault indicator, the surge protector also includes a built-in time delay feature that activates if AC power is interrupted or if a fault condition is detected. This ensures that the air conditioning compressor is protected from potential damage due to sudden power loss. The device offers five modes of surge protection, including reverse polarity protection, open neutral protection, and accidental 240-volt protection, making it a comprehensive solution for electrical safety.
The microprocessor-controlled system is programmed with advanced software to manage the entire surge protection process efficiently. Additionally, the enclosed blue jumper wire allows users to bypass the computer circuit in case of failure, ensuring that AC power can still be supplied to the RV.
