The Progressive Dynamics Power Converter is designed to convert 105 to 130 Volt AC to 13.9 Volt DC, providing a continuous output of 1000 Watts and 60 Amps. This unit features an 80 percent efficiency rating, ensuring minimal energy loss during operation. The built-in microprocessor-controlled four-stage charging system optimizes battery charging by automatically selecting from Boost, Normal, Storage, or Equalize modes based on the battery's voltage level. This ensures rapid recharge times and extends battery life by preventing issues such as stratification and sulfation.
Equipped with three diode isolated outputs, the converter can charge three separate banks of batteries simultaneously. Safety features include reverse battery protection, over and under voltage protection, and electronic current limiting to prevent overheating and damage from shorts or excessive loads. The variable speed intelligent cooling fan operates only as needed, maintaining a stable operating temperature within the unit.
The Progressive Dynamics Power Converter is also programmable in the field, allowing users to customize charging profiles for various battery types, including lead-acid, gel-cell, or AGM batteries. With automatic thermal protection, the converter reduces output to safe levels when temperatures exceed preset limits, ensuring reliable performance and longevity.
