The Pro Comp Suspension Drive Shaft Kit is designed to optimize the driveline of vehicles equipped with a 231 transfer case. This kit features a short shaft or slip yoke eliminator that shortens the transfer case, allowing for the installation of a 4 inch longer CV style drive shaft. By combining this kit with a CV style drive shaft, users can significantly reduce driveline vibration and friction associated with the factory slip yoke design.

In addition to reducing vibration, this kit improves driveline angles, which can eliminate the need for a transfer case lowering kit in most cases. This design maintains ground clearance since the skid pan is not lowered, providing better off-road capability. The new main shaft is approximately 20 percent larger than the factory version, enabling it to handle the increased torque from 4 to 1 conversions, additional horsepower, and larger tires.

This drive shaft kit is compatible with all YJ and TJ models equipped with the 231 transfer case, as well as XJ models with manual transmissions. The installation process is straightforward, with an estimated install time of just half an hour.
