The Pertronix Electronic Ignition Conversion is designed to replace traditional breaker points and factory electronic ignitions in 3 cylinder engines equipped with Motorcraft distributor number C7NF 12127A. This self-contained ignition system offers a maintenance-free solution that enhances reliability and performance. With its compact design, the Ignitor is often referred to as the 'stealth' ignition, as it installs quickly and remains nearly undetectable under the distributor cap, eliminating clutter in the engine compartment.
This ignition conversion delivers twice the voltage to the spark plugs, resulting in increased horsepower, improved fuel economy, and extended spark plug life. The innovative design features rotating cobalt magnets that trigger a Hall Effect integrated circuit, ensuring there are no points to burn or moving parts to wear out. The epoxy molding protects the module from dirt, oil, grease, and moisture, making it a durable choice for various applications.
Stable timing is a key benefit of the Ignitor, as it requires no adjustments once installed. It is compatible with most multi-spark CD ignitions and is available for both 6 and 12 volt negative and positive ground systems. For optimal performance, it is recommended to pair the Ignitor with Pertronix Flame-Thrower 40,000 Volt coils.
