Permatex Thread Sealant is an all-purpose, medium strength threadlocker designed for a wide range of nut and bolt applications ranging from 1/4 inch to 3/4 inch in diameter. This product eliminates the need for expensive lock nuts and lock washers by effectively locking and sealing components while preventing loosening due to vibration. It also protects threads from corrosion, ensuring long-lasting performance in various environments.
This single-component, anaerobic liquid cures when confined in the absence of air between closely fitting metal surfaces, forming a unitized assembly that resists leakage, shock, and vibration. With excellent chemical resistance and a temperature range from minus 175 degrees Celsius to plus 150 degrees Celsius, it is suitable for demanding applications. The thread sealant is easily removable with hand tools, allowing for straightforward disassembly when servicing is required.
Permatex Thread Sealant is formulated to improve reliability by preventing rusting of threads and curing without cracking or shrinking.
