Permatex High Strength Thread Sealant is designed for use with cylinder block, rocker arm studs, ring gear bolts, frame bolts, and shock absorber bolts. This 36 milliliter bottle contains a high strength anaerobic threadlocking material that cures between engaged threads, forming a unitized assembly that resists leakage, shock, and vibration. It is particularly effective for permanently locking studs and press fits, providing an impressive 3,000 PSI holding power on slip and press fit assemblies.

This thread sealant is suitable for fasteners ranging from 3/8 inch to 1 inch in diameter and is engineered to prevent rusting of threads. It exhibits excellent chemical resistance and can withstand temperatures from minus 54 degrees Celsius to plus 150 degrees Celsius. The single component liquid cures when confined in the absence of air between closely fitting metal surfaces, eliminating the need for mixing or torque compensation during assembly.

Permatex High Strength Thread Sealant is compliant with ASTM D5363 AN0221 and is ideal for various applications requiring a reliable sealant. Disassembly may require heat and special tools, ensuring a secure bond that withstands vibration loosening.
