The NewMar Battery Isolator is designed for the efficient charging of two separate battery banks from a single source. This device operates with a continuous current of 200 amps and a peak current of 600 amps, ensuring robust performance in demanding applications. It features a compact design with dimensions of 3-1/4 inches in width, 2-1/2 inches in depth, and 3 inches in height, making it suitable for various installations. The isolator is CE certified and operates effectively within a temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.
This battery integrator functions as a smart switch, connecting independent battery banks only when a charging voltage is present, thus preventing discharge between banks when not charging. It eliminates voltage drop during charging, allowing multiple batteries to be charged as a single bank. The unit can also be remotely activated to provide additional power from a secondary battery during engine start, enhancing overall system reliability.
Constructed with a heavy-duty silver-plated contactor and designed for marine environments, the NewMar Battery Isolator ensures durability and longevity. It includes a voltage sense circuit and is easy to install with a three-wire hookup for two bank systems.
