The MSD Ignition Crank Trigger Sensor is engineered for high-performance applications, particularly in extreme racing environments. Designed and tested on top fuel dragsters exceeding 300 miles per hour, this sensor meets the rigorous demands of professional motorsport. Each unit is meticulously assembled in-house, allowing for strict quality control over its construction and performance.
This non-magnetic pickup features a 3/4-16 inch thread and a sensor length of 2-1/4 inches, making it compatible with MSD Flying Magnet Crank Trigger Kits. The sensor is hand wound on a specialized bobbin and utilizes tinned conductor, Teflon jacketed wiring, which is routed through a strain relief for added durability.
To enhance reliability, the assembly is encased in a precision housing and potted with a fracture-resistant epoxy compound. A vacuum procedure ensures that the windings are fully encapsulated, providing the strongest and most dependable non-magnetic pickup available. This sensor not only meets standard requirements but also delivers exceptional performance and reliability for serious racing enthusiasts.
