This spacer facilitates the installation of aftermarket air cleaners in specific applications, particularly where GM Quadrajets have a notch in the flange that can obstruct fitment. By not requiring indexing on the neck, this solution is both cost-effective and straightforward to implement. Installation is simple, as the spacer is placed directly on top of the carburetor between it and the air cleaner.
With a 5-1/8 inch inner diameter, this spacer is compatible with most Holley, Carter, Edelbrock, and Quadrajet 4-barrel carburetors, although it is not suitable for 4500 series or Holley Dominator models. Users may need to acquire a longer air cleaner stud based on the spacer height and air cleaner design. It is also advisable to verify sufficient hood clearance before raising the air cleaner. The spacer is constructed from durable black plastic and has a thickness of 1 inch, ensuring a reliable performance enhancement for your vehicle.
