The Monroe Shock Absorber Magnum is engineered to provide firm control while ensuring a smooth ride. This nitrogen gas charged shock absorber is designed for mid to full-size light-duty work trucks and vans, enhancing ride quality and handling by maintaining optimal tire-to-road contact. The unit features a sintered iron piston, which offers superior strength and durability compared to traditional metals, resulting in a longer service life.
Incorporating all-weather fluid with special modifiers, the shock absorber reduces friction and ensures smooth rod reaction. The full displaced valving allows for a better range of motion during both compression and extension cycles, contributing to a comfortable driving experience. With a 2-inch reserve tube, this shock absorber provides more fluid capacity for consistent performance and improved heat dissipation compared to original equipment (OE) units.
The 1-3/8 inch bore operates at lower pressure than standard 1 inch bore units, working more efficiently with less effort. Additionally, the heavy-duty 5/8 inch piston rod is nitrocarburized for enhanced longevity. Designed with a special self-lubricating fluid seal, the Monroe Shock Absorber Magnum retains gas effectively while minimizing wear and friction.
