The Monroe Sensa-Trac load adjusting shock absorber is engineered to improve ride quality and handling for vehicles that tow or carry heavy loads. Featuring position sensitive damping (PSD) technology, these shock absorbers utilize precision tapered grooves in the pressure tube to optimize ride tuning and enhance safety characteristics. The nitrogen gas charged design helps maintain tire contact with the road, reducing aeration and improving overall handling performance.
Constructed with a heavy gauge calibrated coil spring, the Sensa-Trac shock absorbers provide additional control without compromising ride comfort. The full displaced valving is specifically tuned for each application, automatically adjusting to road conditions to ensure consistent performance. The Fluon banded piston enhances durability and control by providing a reliable seal between the piston and pressure tube.
These shock absorbers are designed to assist in maintaining ride height when carrying up to 1,200 pounds of additional weight, making them suitable for light trucks that frequently transport varying loads or tow trailers. The unique groove tube design acts like an additional stage of valving, further refining the ride experience.
