The Maretron Tank Level Adapter is designed to facilitate the integration of commercially available resistive tank senders into the NMEA 2000 network. This device allows for real-time monitoring of tank levels on any NMEA 2000 compatible display, such as Maretron's N2KView vessel monitoring system. It supports both American standard (240 to 33 Ohm) and European standard (10 to 180 Ohm) resistive senders, and can be calibrated for any resistance between 0 and 300 Ohms, making it versatile for various applications.
One of the key features of the tank level adapter is its ability to accommodate irregularly shaped tanks, providing accurate readings through a 16-point calibration process. It supports up to 16 programmable tank types, including fuel, fresh water, waste water, and live well, with the capability to program up to 16 tanks per type. This flexibility allows users to maintain existing analog gauges while benefiting from the advantages of a digitally networked system.
The device operates within a voltage range of 9 to 16 volts and is built to withstand harsh marine environments with an IP67 waterproof rating. It also includes reverse battery protection and load dump protection, ensuring reliable performance.
