The Maretron SSC300 is a solid state, rate gyro electronic compass designed for marine environments. It offers superior heading accuracy of better than 0.7 degrees in static conditions and maintains performance even in dynamic situations, providing reliable readings during hard turns or rough seas. This compass utilizes advanced stabilization algorithms, integrating a micro machined 3-axis rate gyro and a 3-axis accelerometer to deliver precise heading information at a rate of ten times per second, along with pitch and roll data once per second.

Constructed for durability, the SSC300 features an IP67 waterproof rating, ensuring reliable operation in harsh marine conditions. It operates within a wide temperature range, from -25 to 55 degrees Celsius, and is designed to withstand storage temperatures as low as -40 degrees Celsius. The device is equipped with reverse battery protection and load dump protection, enhancing its reliability and longevity.

The compass is NMEA 2000 approved and complies with IEC 61162-3, IEC 60945, FCC, and CE standards, making it suitable for integration with various marine electronics. Included with the compass are two mounting brackets, screws, and a user manual, facilitating straightforward installation on deck or bulkhead.
