The Maretron Network Gateway serves as a crucial interface for bridging computers to NMEA networks, facilitating the use of PC-based vessel monitoring and control software. This device simplifies the connection process by eliminating the need for conventional multiplexers and reducing the complexity of wiring typically associated with interfacing marine equipment to PCs. It is compatible with Maretron's N2KView and N2KAnalyzer software, allowing for efficient data management and analysis within an NMEA 2000 network.
Designed to withstand the rigors of the marine environment, the Maretron Network Gateway features a sealed waterproof enclosure and IP67 rating, ensuring reliable operation in harsh conditions. It operates within a voltage range of 9 to 32 volts and consumes only 50 milliamperes of power, making it energy efficient. The device also includes reverse battery protection and load dump protection, enhancing its durability and safety.
With dimensions of 3.46 inches in length, 3.11 inches in width, and 1.38 inches in height, the Maretron Network Gateway is compact and easy to install. It comes with four mounting screws, a USB flash drive containing necessary software, and a user manual for straightforward setup and configuration. The gateway translates over 20 NMEA 2000 PGNs to equivalent NMEA 0183 sentences and vice versa, ensuring comprehensive compatibility with various marine systems.
