Convert 4 to 20 Milliamp Transducers to Digital Data Efficiently
The Maretron Current Loop Monitor is designed to convert commercially available 4 to 20 milliamp current loop transducers into digital data, enabling a wide range of information to be displayed on Maretron displays. This device supports numerous transducers for monitoring various parameters including DC voltage, current, flow rate, distance, linear velocity, and acceleration, as well as temperature, humidity, resistance, strain gauges, force, pressure, decibels, and rotational rate.
With six independent channels, the monitor allows for flexible programming to suit specific monitoring needs. Typical applications include machinery monitoring with accelerometers and vibration sensors, which can provide early warnings of potential issues, thereby reducing maintenance costs and preventing breakdowns. Additionally, it can be used for shaft speed monitoring by connecting a rotational rate transducer to the shaft of interest, converting the data to RPM for display on compatible NMEA 2000 systems.
The Maretron Current Loop Monitor operates within a voltage range of 9 to 32 volts and has a power consumption of 400 milliamperes. It is built to withstand harsh environments with an operating temperature range of -25 to 55 degrees Celsius and is IP64 rated for water resistance. The device is also certified by NMEA 2000, IEC 61162-3, IEC 60945, FCC, and CE, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
