The K&N NextGen cold air intake system is designed to optimize engine performance by increasing airflow and enhancing horsepower. Constructed from high-density polyethylene, the rotationally molded tube improves airflow volume by 13.46 percent, resulting in an increase of 18.98 horsepower and 24.38 torque without the need for tuning. This system features a washable and reusable High-Flow LIFETIME Air Filter made from oiled cotton filter media, allowing for up to 100,000 miles between services under normal driving conditions.
The NextGen airbox is engineered to protect intake air from high engine bay temperatures while providing an enlarged fresh air inlet for improved airflow. The oversized air filter, with its increased surface area and radius-entry design, is specifically designed to enhance performance by maximizing airflow. Additionally, the large-diameter intake tube is CAD-designed with strategically positioned air channels to boost airspeed and deliver more air to the engine.
