Constructed from high-density polyethylene, the rotationally-molded tube enhances the volume of air entering the engine, resulting in a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque. This system features a washable and reusable High-Flow Air Filter made from oiled cotton filter media, ensuring exceptional filtration and airflow.
A custom heat shield is included to protect the intake air from the high temperatures present in the engine bay, maintaining optimal performance. The installation process is straightforward, typically taking less than 90 minutes with basic hand tools. This intake system replaces the factory air filter and intake tube, providing a significant upgrade in air intake efficiency.
The K & N Filters Cold Air Intake System is engineered for street use and is designed to require minimal maintenance, with the filter needing cleaning only every 100,000 miles under normal highway driving conditions.
