The K & N Filters Cold Air Intake System is designed to optimize engine performance by increasing airflow. Constructed from high-density polyethylene, the rotationally-molded tube enhances the volume of air entering the engine, resulting in a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque. This system features a washable and reusable High-Flow Air Filter made from oiled cotton filter media, ensuring exceptional filtration and airflow.
A custom heat shield is included to protect the intake air from the high temperatures present in the engine bay, maintaining optimal performance. The installation process is straightforward and can typically be completed in under 90 minutes using simple hand tools. This intake system replaces the factory air filter and intake tube, providing a significant upgrade in both performance and efficiency.
The K & N Filters Cold Air Intake System is engineered for street use and is designed to require minimal maintenance, with the filter needing cleaning only every 100,000 miles under normal highway driving conditions. Please note that some intakes may not be legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled motor vehicles in California.
