Constructed from high-density polyethylene, the rotationally-molded tube enhances the volume of air entering the engine, resulting in a measurable increase in horsepower and torque. This system features a washable and reusable High-Flow Air Filter made from oiled cotton filter media, allowing for extended service intervals of up to 100,000 miles under normal highway driving conditions.
The oversized conical design of the filter ensures optimal airflow while maintaining exceptional filtration capabilities. A custom heat shield is included to protect the intake air from the heat generated in the engine bay, ensuring cooler air enters the engine for improved performance. Installation is straightforward, typically completed in less than 60 minutes with basic hand tools, making it accessible for most vehicle owners.
