The K&N Cold Air Intake System is engineered to optimize air intake for specific Jeep Cherokee models. This system features a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube that replaces the restrictive factory air filter and housing, significantly reducing airflow restriction. By smoothing and straightening the airflow, this intake allows the engine to draw in a larger volume of air, resulting in increased power and acceleration across the RPM range.
In addition to performance gains, the K&N intake system enhances engine acoustics, providing a more aggressive sound during acceleration. The kit includes a chrome-topped high-flow air filter and a heat shield that fits into the original air box space, ensuring efficient air delivery to the throttle body. The durable silver powder-coated finish of the intake tube is designed for longevity and accommodates the factory crank case vent hose.
The oversized cone-shaped air filter is washable and reusable, capable of lasting up to 100,000 miles before servicing, depending on driving conditions. Installation is straightforward, typically completed in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points and basic tools.
