The K&N Cold Air Intake System is engineered to replace the factory air filter and intake housing in select Ram 1500 and Dodge Ram 1500 models. This system is designed to significantly reduce intake restriction, allowing for smoother and straighter airflow into the engine. By facilitating a larger volume of air intake, it contributes to increased power and acceleration across the engine's RPM range.
This intake system features a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and includes a heat shield that fits into the original air box space. The aerodynamically designed intake tube directs air efficiently into the throttle body, ensuring a guaranteed power gain. The system is compatible with the factory air temperature sensor and crank case vent hose, making installation straightforward.
Constructed from high-density polyethylene, the free-flowing intake tube is both durable and effective. The oversized cone-shaped air filter is washable and reusable, with a service interval of up to 100,000 miles depending on driving conditions. Installation is typically completed in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points.
