The K&N NextGen cold air intake system is designed to optimize engine performance by significantly increasing airflow. Constructed from high-density polyethylene, the rotationally molded tube enhances airflow by 83.2 percent, resulting in an increase of 20.56 horsepower and 28.1 torque without the need for tuning. This system features a washable and reusable High-Flow LIFETIME Air Filter made from oiled cotton filter media, allowing for up to 100,000 miles of use under normal driving conditions.
The innovative hybrid airbox design includes a semi-enclosed structure that lowers air temperatures and improves airflow through an enlarged fresh air inlet. This design also offers better protection against contaminants, ensuring cleaner air intake. The oversized air filter, with its increased surface area and radius-entry design, is engineered to further enhance airflow and performance.
Precision engineering ensures that each NextGen intake is tailored for specific vehicle models, improving both performance and the aesthetic of the engine bay. The large-diameter intake tube features strategically positioned air channels that boost airspeed, delivering more air to the engine.
