The K&N Cold Air Intake System is designed to optimize engine performance by significantly increasing airflow. Constructed from high-density polyethylene, the rotationally molded tube enhances airflow by up to 59.01 percent on the driver side and 38.3 percent on the passenger side, resulting in an increase of 32.38 horsepower and 35.52 torque without the need for tuning. This system features a washable and reusable high-flow air filter made from oiled cotton, allowing for up to 100,000 miles of use under normal driving conditions before servicing is required.
The innovative hybrid airbox design includes a semi-enclosed structure that lowers air temperatures and improves airflow through an enlarged fresh air inlet. The oversized air filter is engineered with increased surface area and a radius-entry design to further enhance performance. Additionally, the large-diameter intake tube is CAD-designed with strategically positioned air channels to boost airflow and deliver more air to the engine.
Precision engineering ensures that each K&N intake system is tailored for specific vehicle models, enhancing both performance and the aesthetic of the engine bay. The installation process is simplified with reduced mounting hardware and quick-lock technology, allowing for easy filter replacement and secure fitting with just one hose clamp.
