Included with the intake system is a custom heat shield that protects the intake air from the high temperatures of the engine bay, ensuring optimal performance. The installation process is straightforward and can typically be completed in under 90 minutes using simple hand tools. This cold air intake replaces the factory air filter and intake tube, providing a significant upgrade in airflow efficiency.
The K&N filter is washable and reusable, requiring cleaning only every 100,000 miles under normal highway driving conditions. This feature not only enhances the longevity of the product but also contributes to reduced maintenance costs.
