This system allows the engine-driven alternator to charge the main battery before connecting to the auxiliary battery, optimizing performance and efficiency. The relay delay unit is fully encapsulated in a durable plastic enclosure, making it suitable for installation in the engine compartment. It connects easily with three wires: one from an ignition switched 12 Volt source, a ground, and the isolator relay coil. The operation is straightforward; it senses the voltage of the main 12 Volt system and activates the isolator relay when the voltage exceeds 13.3 Volts for approximately 12 seconds, ensuring efficient battery management.
