The Icon Vehicle Dynamics Lower Control Arm Kit is engineered as a robust replacement for stock control arms, specifically designed for vehicles requiring enhanced off-road capabilities. Constructed from fully welded, boxed steel with CNC laser cut and brake formed plates, this kit features internal ribs that significantly increase strength compared to factory components. The high ground clearance design and specially angled plates facilitate smooth navigation over obstacles, making it suitable for both trail and street use.
This control arm kit incorporates CNC machined forged steel ball joint housings that ensure optimal ground clearance and CV boot protection for 4WD applications. The recessed coilover mounts enhance structural integrity while providing a sleek, race-inspired appearance. Additionally, the design includes secondary shock mounting tabs that integrate seamlessly with the ICON S2 Secondary Shock System, allowing for a straightforward installation of various shock options to improve suspension performance.
The lower ball joints are designed with a metal on metal, greaseable configuration, promoting longevity and reducing noise, which is often a concern with traditional uniballs. The bonded polyurethane bushings minimize deflection, enhancing handling characteristics while allowing for full suspension travel.
