The Icon Vehicle Dynamics 2.5 Series Shock Absorber is designed to enhance vehicle performance both off-road and on the street. This shock absorber features a nitrogen gas charged monotube design with a remote reservoir, ensuring optimal heat dissipation and reduced shock fade during extended use. The unique internal 'Bump Zone' created by a 6061 billet aluminum manifold increases damping force by 20 percent, effectively preventing harsh bottom outs and improving suspension control at high velocities.
Constructed with 6061 aircraft grade aluminum and precision machined components, the shock absorber is built for durability and corrosion resistance. The 7/8 inch diameter induction hardened, chrome plated shock shaft and one-piece digressive piston design provide vehicle specific valving for unmatched performance and ride quality. Additionally, the shock is 100 percent rebuildable and revalveable, allowing for long-term use and adaptability to changing conditions.
With a focus on quality, the Icon 2.5 Series Shock Absorber includes premium grade 5WT shock oil for consistent damping across a wide temperature range. The polyurethane bushings and forged steel mounting stems ensure an OE factory type fitment, making installation straightforward.
