This power valve features a single stage standard flow and operates at a pressure of 10.5 inches of mercury. Its unique capability allows it to reference the intake manifold vacuum below the supercharger, ensuring optimal performance under varying load conditions.
This power valve enriches the main metering system during low vacuum situations, providing necessary fuel enrichment when the engine is under load. Without this external referencing, the power valve would inaccurately read the supercharger boost pressure, which does not reflect the actual engine load. The inclusion of a gasket ensures a secure and reliable installation, making it a practical choice for enhancing engine performance.
