The Garmin Thru-Hull Transducer is engineered for optimal performance in both saltwater and freshwater environments. With a maximum depth capability of 1800 feet in saltwater and 2400 feet in freshwater, this transducer utilizes a medium band CHIRP frequency range of 80 to 165 kHz to deliver precise sonar readings. Its robust stainless steel housing ensures durability and facilitates a flush installation that minimizes drag while maintaining optimal beam orientation for clear sonar returns.
Designed for versatility, the transducer accommodates a variety of boat hull materials including fiberglass, composite, steel, aluminum, and wood. It supports deadrise angles from 16 to 24 degrees, allowing for installation without the need for a fairing block. The 50-foot cable provides ample length for various mounting configurations, while the 8-pin connector ensures compatibility with a range of Garmin chartplotters.
Equipped with Garmin's auto-identification technology, the transducer simplifies installation with plug-and-play operation, automatically configuring itself to the sonar system. The 9 to 18 degree beamwidth enhances target separation and clarity, making it easier to distinguish between fish and underwater structures.
