The Fox Shocks Performance Series 2.0 IFP steering stabilizer is engineered to reduce the load on steering components while ensuring that tires maintain a straight trajectory. This stabilizer is particularly beneficial for vehicles equipped with oversized off-road tires, which can cause steering instability due to their aggressive tread patterns. By utilizing advanced damping technology similar to that found in Performance Series shocks, this stabilizer effectively mitigates steering feedback, enhancing overall driving control.
Constructed from a 2.0 inch impact extruded and CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum, the one-piece body is designed to resist rust and corrosion over time. The clear-anodized finish not only provides durability but also contributes to the stabilizer's aesthetic appeal. The internal IFP mono-tube reservoir design separates shock oil from high-pressure nitrogen, ensuring consistent performance under varying conditions.
The stabilizer features a 1/2 inch hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft and a race-developed high-flow piston design, which work together to optimize performance through application-specific valving. Additionally, the redundant sealing pack system, which includes a main seal, wiper seal, and scraper seal, enhances reliability and longevity. The use of JM92 advanced suspension fluid allows for improved performance across a range of temperatures, while quiet nitrile rubber bushings facilitate increased suspension articulation.
