The Flowmaster Super 40 Series Exhaust Muffler is engineered for both street and strip use, drawing from the brand's top race muffler lineup. This muffler features Flowmaster's Delta Flow technology, which enhances performance while maintaining a deep, aggressive sound profile. The larger case design allows for optimal sound and performance, particularly beneficial for forced induction and high horsepower vehicles. Constructed from 16 gauge aluminized steel and fully MIG welded, this muffler ensures maximum durability and longevity under demanding conditions.
With a case size of 10 inches in width and 5 inches in height, the Super 40 is designed to fit a variety of applications, although modifications to the exhaust system may be necessary for installation. The muffler's offset inlet and center outlet configuration, both at 2-1/2 inches in diameter, provide a semi-universal fit. The deep sound characteristic of the Original 40 series is preserved, while the Delta Flow technology minimizes interior resonance, making it suitable for performance enthusiasts seeking a balance of sound and efficiency.
