The Factor 55 Winch Cable Shackle Mount introduces a revolutionary approach to winching with its FlatLink design, which replaces traditional winch hooks with a safer and stronger shackle thimble and D-ring. This innovative product is the first folding shackle mount for recovery winches, measuring less than 1-3/4 inches in thickness, making it compatible with all roller fairlead license plate mounting brackets. The FlatLink is engineered to prevent damage to recovery straps, as conventional hooks can cut and fray them during use, while the secure screw pin attachment of the FlatLink ensures that strap loops remain in place during winching operations.
Constructed from durable 6000 series billet aluminum, the FlatLink is designed to accommodate both steel cables and synthetic winch ropes up to 3/8 inch in diameter, with a load capacity of 16,000 pounds. Installation is straightforward and can be completed in minutes, allowing users to quickly enhance their winching setup. The inclusion of EPDM rubber guards protects alloy fairleads from wear and tear, and these guards are securely attached to the FlatLink with barbed tips for added stability. The FlatLink stows neatly against roller or Hawse type fairleads, making it a practical addition to any winching system.
