The Factor 55 FlatLink Winch Cable Shackle Mount is a revolutionary product designed to replace conventional winch hooks with a safer and stronger alternative. This folding shackle mount is the first of its kind in the industry, providing a compact solution with a thickness of less than 1-3/4 inches, making it compatible with all roller fairlead license plate mounting brackets. The FlatLink is engineered to prevent damage to recovery straps, which can occur with traditional winch hooks, by securely retaining strap loops with a screw pin attachment.
Constructed from 6000 series billet aluminum, the FlatLink is both lightweight and durable, with a load capacity of 16,000 pounds. It accommodates both steel cables and synthetic winch ropes up to 3/8 inch in diameter, ensuring versatility in various winching applications. The installation process is straightforward, allowing users to set it up in minutes without the need for splicing.
Additionally, the FlatLink features EPDM rubber guards that protect alloy fairleads and are securely attached with barbed tips. This design not only enhances the longevity of the product but also ensures that it stows neatly against roller or Hawse type fairleads. The inclusion of a 5/8 inch diameter grade 5 steel double shear pin and internal snap ring further enhances the security and reliability of the FlatLink during use.
