The Factor 55 Flat Splicer is a cutting-edge splice-on folding winch rope shackle mount thimble designed for optimal utility in off-road applications. Constructed from lightweight 6000 series military-grade aluminum, this product features a durable Mil-Spec hard anodized finish that ensures longevity and resistance to wear. With a load capacity of 16000 pounds, it is engineered to connect securely to both the pin and bow ends of common 3/4 inch screw pin shackles, as well as the pin ends of larger 7/8 inch and 1 inch shackles.
This innovative design allows the Flat Splicer to fold flat against winch fairleads, minimizing frontal protrusion and protecting the winch rope from UV damage and abrasion. The integrated EPDM rubber pads provide additional protection for fairleads, ensuring that the winch rope remains secure and undamaged during use. The unique machined rope path offers complete protection for synthetic winch ropes up to 1/2 inch in diameter, making it a reliable choice for safe recoveries through closed system winching.
