The shock features a twin-tube hydraulic construction that includes a hardened chrome piston rod and a closed cell foam insert, which effectively reduces shock fade at high speeds. With high flow 9-stage valving, these shocks deliver excellent dampening capabilities, ensuring a smooth ride even under demanding conditions.
The twin-tube design consists of an inner pressure tube and an outer reserve tube, where the inner tube houses the valving components and generates damping forces. The outer tube serves as a reservoir for displaced fluid during compression, while a foam sleeve or gas bag helps eliminate air pockets, further enhancing shock performance. This design is crucial for maintaining stability and control in various driving scenarios.
