Fabtech's Lift Kit Suspension System is engineered for the Chevy/GMC 1500 2WD, providing a robust 6-inch lift both in the front and rear. This system utilizes a world-renowned IFS suspension design that ensures excellent drivability on various terrains. The innovative design minimizes bump steer throughout the suspension cycle, which reduces driver fatigue and enhances overall vehicle performance. The kit maintains a near stock track width, keeping tires neatly under the fenders for a streamlined look.
The lift kit features heavy-duty 1/4 inch thick steel crossmembers and extended length ductile iron steering knuckles, which contribute to zero bump steer during suspension travel. This allows for a superior turning radius, making it easier to navigate tight spaces. The factory coilover shocks are strategically relocated to accommodate the lift while preserving the stock ride quality. Additionally, the rear lift is achieved through a 5-inch block and u-bolt system, ensuring that load carrying capacity remains unaffected.
Included in the kit are oversized tie rods designed to replace stock units, accommodating larger tires without compromising performance. The welded box design of the crossmembers adds strength to the front suspension, while billet spacers control travel and prevent over cycling. Extended length twin tube shocks are also part of the kit, providing a comfortable highway ride and the capability to handle off-road conditions effectively.
