Fabtech's Lift Kit Suspension System is engineered for the Chevy/GMC 1500, providing a robust 6 inch lift in both the front and rear. This system utilizes a renowned IFS suspension design that ensures excellent drivability on various terrains. The design minimizes bump steer throughout the suspension cycle, which contributes to reduced driver fatigue and improved vehicle handling. With a near stock track width, the lift maintains a clean appearance while keeping tires securely under the fenders.
The kit features heavy-duty 1/4 inch thick steel crossmembers and extended length ductile iron steering knuckles, which enhance strength and provide zero bump steer during suspension travel. The welded box design of the crossmembers adds additional durability, while oversized tie rods are included to accommodate larger tires. The factory coilovers are relocated using heavy-duty lower mounts, allowing for a lift that retains the original ride quality.
To protect the front differential from offroad obstacles, a heavy-duty skid plate is included, constructed from 1/4 inch thick steel. The triple differential mounts ensure proper repositioning of the front differential, which helps maintain precise CV and driveshaft angles, reducing driveline vibration at high speeds. Additionally, the rear lift blocks and extended length twin tube shocks are designed to enhance both highway comfort and offroad capability.
